Ofsted September 24
We are delighted to share our latest Ofsted Report following an inspection in September 24
I am delighted to share with you our most recent Ofsted report which highlights the significant strengths of our school. I am so pleased that the three inspectors who spent two days with us were able to truly see the impact of the hard work and dedication of the adults in our school caring for your children. The report itself summarises the key findings in such a positive way and grades us as good in every area. In meetings with the inspectors, the school’s leadership team were informed of many of the positive opinions shows by the inspectors which could not be included into the report. I have added some of these below so you are able to see what other incredibly positive things were found during their time at SMFR.
- SMFR is a very positive environment which is calm and orderly
- Phonics has gone a long way in the last year
- Safeguarding is robust, effective, tenacious and relentless and is a clear focus of the school.
- Leaders have made strong improvements who are highly ambitious and have made significant improvements over the last 18 months
- There has been a significant shift in the delivery of provision in Early Years. Warm relationships can be felt and activities are mapped out.
- There is a real emphasis that there is no barrier for children with SEND
- The school has ambitious and passionate subject leaders who know where they are taking the children’s learning
- Pupils feel safe in school
The above is as a snapshot of their findings and highlights some of the other positives they felt when they were in our school.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the children of SMFR who excelled and highlighted what makes SMFR such a special place. Thank you to the parents who met with the inspectors, spoke to them in the morning or completed the survey online to express their views about our school. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
